Shea’s Memorial Garden

Shea was a deeply loved child whose life was shaped by the care, skill, and compassion of many people—family, teachers, aides, therapists, nurses, doctors, and helpers who showed up for him day after day. Their patience, expertise, and kindness made his world bigger, safer, and more joyful.

Shea’s Memorial Garden was created as a way to keep saying thank you.

Rather than a single place of reflection, this memorial takes the form of flower beds within our working cut-flower garden, dedicated to growing and gifting flowers as acts of gratitude to caregivers, helpers, and families navigating hard seasons. It exists to turn remembrance into something active—beauty that is grown, shared, and passed forward.

Flowers from Shea’s Memorial Garden are gifted to people whose work is often quiet and unseen, but deeply meaningful: those who care for others with strength, compassion, and steady presence.

At its heart, this garden is about honoring the way love and kindness showed up in Shea’s life—and continuing that care outward into the world.

Nominate Someone For a Gifted Bouquet

We have created an online suggestion and nomination form that allows community members to recommend someone who might be encouraged by a gift bouquet. We read every nomination. Selections may be limited by season and what the garden can provide.
